I love seeing the huge snapping turtle when it decides to come out to sunbathe. I am amazed that when it walks, it's so tall! This one was out on the log in all its glory one minute and gone the next. It must have jumped off the log, would have loved to have seen that. When I looked again, it was getting back onto the log. Much to fellow painted turtle's dismay, right over the top of them! The snapper even rested completely on it for a few minutes! Good thing the painted's shell was strong enough! Holy moly!
