This year (2022) Mama Goose is hidden behind a tree. But if she hears me she peeks around to see what I'm doing. One day she even got off the nest to eat and back on while I stood there. I only venture so far and use my big lens to get her photo. The feather on her beak is from her, she plucks out feathers to place around the eggs. Then when she turns the eggs sometimes the feathers stick. The eggs are turned so the goslings don't get splay legs.
