When the day came that I stepped into the marsh and saw the nest empty, I had several feelings. The male didn't fly out from the pines either. I approached my usual spot to observe and I heard a strange noise. Way up in a 60' tree I saw an owlet and 20' below it was Mom! I stopped where I was an just clicked my shutter as the babe hopped and posed. Mom was ever watchful. She even hunted and brought dinner.
Owl Spiritual Meaning -
- Owls can show up when you are being asked to listen to your intuition.
- Owls are a sign of independence. They hunt alone but will partake the company of other owls to observe and gain information. So stay open when with others, their "nonsense" may just guide your thoughts to the thing/idea you need!
- Owl reminds us to stay true to your ideas. Since they are very large birds of prey, they are feared by other birds. When those smaller birds feel threatened, they will come together to mob the owl. Very rarely harming it, but chases it away if they are persistent. So this reminds one that if you are challenged for your ideas, don't let them ruffle your feathers!
