The Snake and the Toad 0495
The other day I posted the photo of the snake going past the frog at the water's edge. The weird thing was two days apart I got similar photos. I was walking along, not looking down. All of a sudden I went to take a step and Spirit stopped me, it was a totally unconscious response and I looked down. There they were in a stand off.
A tiny toad and a baby snake. I could have stepped on the both with one foot. The snake was maybe 5" - 7" long, so you know how little these guys were. I stood taking photos now and again and thought about the message.
Finally, the snake started to move its head a little and waited. Then the tail moved a little and it waited. I think the little toad either fell asleep or didn't really know what it was supposed to do and was standing its ground. Finally, the little snake went on its way. The toad stayed motionless, I wished him a good day and went on my way. It wasn't there on my way back.
