Before the creation of Clipclocks, Pysanky kept my fingers busy!

Each egg was designed with wax and dye. Each detail intricately placed with a line of wax. Starting from the lightest color (white of the egg shell) wax is drawn, then the egg is dipped into the next darkest color such as Yellow and more lines of wax are drawn. The wax seals the color onto the shell. This continues through every color that you seen on the egg, lightest to darkest. When the design is finished, the contents of the egg are removed and the wax is burned off. But look! The design stays!
